PMBcare is different. We provide midwifery care and natural birth at our own birth centre, not at a private hospital. Our pricing is clear, fixed, and structured so you can plan ahead.
PMBcare pricing (2025/2026)
We provide care at our birth centre, not at a private hospital. Here is exactly what you pay:
Natural birth at our birth centre: R15,000
Payment plan: R7,500 deposit required by 20 weeks. Balance of R7,500 due by 32 weeks.
First prenatal visit: R650
Follow-up prenatal visits: R450 per visit
Emergency consultation: R700
Night callout fee: R700
Postnatal visit: R700
No hidden fees. No surprise bills after the birth. What you see above is what you pay.
What is included in the R15,000 birth fee?
The R15,000 natural birth fee covers your labour support, delivery, and immediate postnatal care at our birth centre. Sister Salaminah Dikeledi Mhlanga and her team will be with you throughout the entire process.
Prenatal visits are separate and billed per visit as shown above. This means you only pay for the care you actually receive during your pregnancy.
Why PMBcare and not a private hospital?
Private hospitals in Johannesburg charge significantly more for birth, with additional fees for theatre, anaesthetist, paediatrician, and ward accommodation. For low-risk pregnancies, a private hospital is not the only safe option.
