PMBcare pricing (2025/2026)
We provide care at our birth centre, not at a private hospital. Here is exactly what you pay:
Natural birth at our birth centre: R15,000
Payment plan: R7,500 deposit required by 20 weeks. Balance of R7,500 due by 32 weeks.
First prenatal visit: R650
Follow-up prenatal visits: R450 per visit
Emergency consultation: R700
Night callout fee: R700
Postnatal visit: R700

How the payment plan works
We structured our payment plan to give families time to prepare. You pay R7,500 by 20 weeks and the remaining R7,500 by 32 weeks. By the time you go into labour, your birth fee is fully settled.
Prenatal visits are billed separately at R600 for your first visit and R400 for each follow-up. We schedule visits at 16, 24, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, and 41 weeks.
Is PMBcare right for my pregnancy?
PMBcare specialises in low-risk pregnancies. Sister Salaminah Dikeledi Mhlanga will assess your pregnancy from your first visit and guide you on whether midwife-led birth centre care is appropriate for you.
If complications arise at any stage, we refer you to a hospital immediately. Your safety and your baby’s safety are always the priority.
