At PMBcare, natural birth is not just an option. It is our standard approach for low-risk pregnancies. We do not use unnecessary interventions. We do not push for C-sections. Our goal is a calm, supported, natural delivery for you and your baby.
Sister Salaminah Dikeledi Mhlanga has supported natural births for over 20 years. Many of her patients return for their second and third births. Some have had three natural births with her, including water births at home.
What does a natural birth at PMBcare cost?
PMBcare pricing (2025/2026)
We provide care at our birth centre, not at a private hospital. Here is exactly what you pay:
Natural birth at our birth centre: R15,000
Payment plan: R7,500 deposit required by 20 weeks. Balance of R7,500 due by 32 weeks.
First prenatal visit: R650
Follow-up prenatal visits: R450 per visit
Emergency consultation: R700
Night callout fee: R700
Postnatal visit: R700

What happens during your birth at PMBcare?
When you go into labour, Sister Dikeledi and her team are with you. They monitor your vitals and your baby’s heartbeat throughout. They provide emotional and physical support at every stage.
Our birth centre is designed for a calm, supported experience. You are not rushed. You are not left alone. You are actively involved in every decision.
After the birth, postnatal visits are available at R700 per visit to check on both you and your baby.
Water birth option
PMBcare offers water birth as an option for eligible mothers. Speak to Sister Dikeledi during your prenatal consultations to find out if this is suitable for you.
